Gene Pendon + Art Basel = Amazing!

Today I want to send some love out to my man, Gene Pendon aka Gene Starship, as he flies off to show some of his new works at Aqua Art Miami with the Yves Laroche Gallery as part of Art Basel Miami Beach 2009 . As you may or may not be aware, Gene is one of the MOST talented painters / artists based in Montreal and co-creator of the internationally renowned Heavyweight Art Installation ( HVW8 ). Art Basel Miami is hands down the most important art fair in North America. This is an incredible opportunity for Gene to show some of his new solo works, get his name and his work out into the larger art community, and hopefully be inspired by some interesting and progressive art. Check out Gene’s new website ( still a work in progress ) to catch a glimpse of some more of  his mad talent. Go Gene!

I also want to shout out another incredible Montreal based artist, Jean Labourdette aka Turf One who is also showing with Yves Laroche at Aqua Art Miami.

Montreal represent!!!
